Crap, I've been wanting to watch the trailer, but I'm stuck with dial-up for a while, and I got a new comp, so I have to download all the stuff it needs to watch it.

I moved up north, near Arinland, and I'm not liking it so far up here.
My fiance is the only good thing about this place.
And no, I havent seen the video yet. We don't get DSL in this gosh forsaken area. 100 feet away from a reliable connection!!

The newest trailer that came out a few days ago is REALLY getting me ready for this movie. Gonna be an awesome franchise if the 1st movie does well, and it looks like it will. RDJ is the perfect actor for Tony Stark!!!

I'm not a huge fan of comic book or graphic novels, but just on its own merits this movie looks awesome. I will be amazed if this thing isn't as good as it looks. I don't know the story or characters but from the looks of it RDJ is perfect for this with his sly wit delivery.

RDJ also has the dependancy issue down, Tony Stark (IM's alterego) has always had a problem with alchoholism. Matter of fact if you look at the trailers you'll see him with a drink or mixing a drink which was a pretty nice touch. Since its been forever since I've read a comicbook, the story seems to be loosely based on the time Stark lost his company to Obidah Stane (Jeff Bridges) due to alchoholism, in the comic Obidah comes across some old IM armor plans and builds Iron Monger, in the comic IM beats Obidah with some new armor (IIRC the red and silver rig) and Obidah commits suicide with a repulsor to the head. The movie seems to take a different tack mixing IM's origin story with the Obidah Stane story.
Anyways the geek in me is psyched, I've been waiting about 6 years for this movie since I've first heard about it and up to now everything looks to be pretty good.
There is also supposed to be some sort of tie in with Edward Norton's new Incredible Hulk flick, some of the characters I think that appear in the IM movie will also be in the Hulk movie (theres a trailer out for Ed's Hulk movie and instead of taking on his abusive dad, the Hulk is going toe to toe with the Abomination).

Just bumping this thread, since the movie is less than 2 weeks away!! Gonna the 1st night I hope (going to a Phillies game 1st. Hopefully won't go extra innings). All the trailers I have watched, and the extra video on LG's website have REALLY got me excited. This movie is going to cash in BIG!!! Let the countodwn to the 2nd begin!!!

I wasn't a big IM comic reader, but I've always liked the idea of the story, and lots of the details of it. I have been jazzed about this movie ever since I saw the first trailer. And RDJ is definitely a slam dunk for this movie. Can't wait!!
