Interesting weather tonight
Well it FINALLY rained here. I went out to check my flowers after dinner and caught this sight. One side was double(but very faint) the middle was missing and the other side stretched forever.

Thank God for it too. We need a couple of inches to catch up. Are you on water moratorium? like us in Alabaster?
Even though it caused todays race to be shortened, it was worth it.

Send some down to 'Bama, we are 7 inches off at this time of year.
My grass is fighting for the dog's to "water" it.
Even if it will turn brown after the dogs relieve themselves.

We must be under some crazy weather bubble. It can rain like nuts everywhere around us, and miss us completely. Last week it rained like crazy at my mothers- 3 exits up the interstate. We didn't get squat.
We got SOME rain last night, and its dark in here this morning meaning it must be cloudy(I haven't looked outside).
I finally gave up and threw most of my flower baskets out- they need water daily.

Well It Rained Sunday..........I think that was it.
We got the rainbow Saturday, and about 10 minutes of rain.
I know I shouldn't but I wish a tropical storm would come through here.

Lightning is the most spectacular element of a thunderstorm. In fact it is how thunderstorms got their name. Wait a minute, what does thunder have to do with lightning? Well, lightning causes thunder.
Lightning is a giant spark. A single stroke of lightning can heat the air around it to 30,000 degrees Celsius (54,000 degrees Farhenheit)! This extreme heating causes the air to expand at an explosive rate. The expansion creates a shock wave that turns into a booming sound wave, better known as thunder. Thus the name thunderstorm.

Calera is under some odd weather no rain bubble.
I went to Oak Mountain yesterday with My Mom and Boy- the lake was like 5 feet low, and where it should be over your head it was waist deep.
