I am not sure if this is normal, but I called up Allstate (my insurance co.) and they ran some info. If the GO would be under my mothers name, with 5,000 miles a year only for 6 months, it would be $1,900. Thats crazy. Plus a $500 a month payment for the car. That's wild.
How much do you guys pay for insurance a month?

My kids...
They would be close to that for a Stang.
Wow, that's a great rate. My 05 runs 592.68 for 6 months. We have 4 vehicles,3 drivers(our son is 20), homeowners, and all that jazz. State Farm must love me! You really have a good deal.

. Agent told me that they insure the person not necessarily the car for those over 48. driving habits are pretty much set by that time in life regardless of what you drive. A safe driver by that time is a safe driver weather they are driving an escort a mustang or vet.
Well for Canada my Insurance for replacement is 736.00 plug our basic Gov't end is about another 438.00 - 500.00 ish so ends up close to 1250.00 a year hear and this I don't get from y 05 GT coup the 07 Vert is just a bit less to insure ???
And some places will NOT insure a new Mustang period to high risk a car like we want to crash an almost 50,000.00 car idiots.

2,500 miles a year for my "Collector" '65.......$49 a year!....State Farm!
I asked our State Farm agent about this after reading your post. She said I could only get that deal if I NEVER drove the car, and trailered her to shows! I asked about just weekend drives, no more than 2500 miles a year. She said no, only to shows. What gives? BTW we don't take her to shows, she's in no condition to be shown!
I dont know man....thats just what my agent said...and I said OK......and just as a question....Why do you need car insurance on a car you don't drive??....wouldnt some other kind of asset insurance cover that?
Maybe I should call another agent?! Could be she was misinformed. We have everything through State Farm and have always been happy. Maybe she doesn't have alot of "classic" auto experience. Thanks for your post though, has me motivated!
