I saw the 1201 show as well, I wasnt super happy, but it was a good movie. A little more outlandish than the first 3 though, edit: maybe

saw it last night as well, great movie. does the first 3 justice and fits in nicely.
as far as more outlandish.....have you seen the first 3??? they are equally over the top, which is what makes them fun. I went to see an Indy movie and got an Indy movie. :thumbs up:

There is ine scene, toward the end that clearly shows his age - I can't figure out why it was left in the film. Spielberg must have been away from the sets on certain days the military scenes/details are a little weak in some places.
But, hey - I've been trained to watch to mistakes in movies (long story, part time job). It was a great movie.

I saw a 9pm showingbefore the 1201 show, does that count? I also watched the other 3 at the theatre over the week before as well. So while it seemed kinda "fantastic" on its own, with the other 3 fresh in my (big screen) memory, I thought it worked.
---
At the end I was a bit nervous though... I don't want to see a movie based on THAT character!

And regarding the scene at the end, I knew it wouldn't happen. No other man is worthy!
I think Shia LaBeouf actually did a good job in this one. I don't remember any "NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!" in this movie. And his character is actually a pretty capable kid.
Even though what I'm about to say might be considered heresy by some, I think its obvious theres a chance of Indy 5 happening now too. If such a thing does happen, I'd like to see Indy go an adventure to find Atlantis, solve the mystery of the Dropa Stones, or Stonehedge.
Lucas said Indy 4 is a homage to 50's sci-fi movies, and i think they captured that era perfectly. The three topics I listed above are perfect for more sci-fi based movies. That way it would balance out, 3 religious artifact movies, 3 sci fi movies.
Oh by the way, did anyone's theater give the broken crate during the warehouse chase scene any recognition? Because mine didn't, but my friends did.

There was tons of laughter at that part
As for LeBouf, he did a great job with his character. Finally it seems he has a role that is more than just "awkward teenager." I really liked his character, and Shia also proved how great of an actor he can be.
Theres some other serious looking movie with him in it. I can't remember it's name, but I saw a preview for it. Because of this movie, I'm going to go see that one

I swear, Shia LeBeouf has the greatest manager ever. And I guess when you make friends with Steven Spielberg, you're pretty much set.
Great Indy flick.
I want more Indy now....
Loved the humour... and of course just like every indy movie .. the 'bugs/cringe moments'
Oh and the 'Grab the rope' scene..hahahhahaah
I was howling

I caught the scene with the broken crate but there was very little reaction in the theater when it happened so I dont know if others got it as well...lots of young kids watching it.
and while I think LeBeouf's character was good, I certainly do hope they just end it there; running to much of a risk in ruining what is a good thing.

Sorry to be a downer guys... I didn't enjoy it. I did like the first three when I watched them, but this one seemed way too out there.
*spoiler*
I like my Indiana Jones to be aliens-who-give-humans-so-much-knowledge-that-they-turn-to-dust-free. The trans dimensional mumbo jumbo was just... too much. I think that they also should have used the whip/rope a lot more, it's kinda his thing, and they used it twice throughout the whole movie?
It wasn't a bad movie, it just wasn't a great Indiana Jones.
