I Need Computer Help
ok i have an older pc that video and sound puked on me, can i put the hard drive from that pc into my new pc and transfer music files over? i want to make sure because the old pc was windows ME and my new one is XP (by choice not a vista fan)....sombody computer savy help me please....and if thats possible i plan on formating that hdd and making it a slave its only a 120 gig

You may find the drives (operating systems) fighting one another at boot-up even if you configure it as a slave.
I find it is easier to buy an external hard drive enclosure (about $25) and plug it in after the new computer is booted.
If you wipe it clean afterwards you will have a good external drive.
Or if you want,(if you can make sure in the BIOS that the old drive won't boot) you can transfer all your info and afterwards wipe the drive clean (reformat) so you won't encounter any conflicts. So often I have found that if you don't wipe the old OS off the old drive it starts trying to boot the first time XP is a little slow to boot (for any reason).
