I drove my car today!
And it felt good!
Seriously after owning this car for 4+ years it still gives me a big smile when I drive it and I always get at least 1
. I hadn't driven it for a couple of weeks and I took it out for alittle 100 mile cruise today. It was 82 degrees and sunny for you folks west of the rockies.

From: That town you drive through to get to Myrtle Beach
Rich: Can so relate to your joy-ride day! Monday it was 71 degrees here before the bottom dropped out on the weather. First Lady and I took the CalStang out for an all day Fall cruise through the rolling hills in Southwest Iowa and then on over to the forested river roads in Nebraska next to the Missouri River! A must do for us, as our days here are now very limited until winter finally arrives!
It was a wonderful day with all of the Fall's colors here now in full bloom! The Midwest looks like something from an old Norman Rockwell painting from the fifties this time of year! The sky was so clear and just as blue as you could dream of. Those great large red farm barns standing out there in miles of fielded golden Iowa corn. The deer feeding up there on the hillsides, as we rolled through the twisted forest highway areas. This stuff is oh so very good for the soul! Takes all of life's pains away!!
At the halfway turn around point, we stopped at a little Mom & Pop in a very small town for some country chicken lunch and some ice cold Cokes. The locals just loved our "Fancy Lookin Mustang", as they said! Because we have Iowa plates, they also just treated us like we were locals there.
That day's ride was a total rush for all of the senses. Driving on the back highways with the windows down. Smelling that clean crisp country air, Bob Segar's Greatest Hits DVD playing and seeing more brightly lit colors than the brain can hardly process!! Plus the very sweet sounds of the Stang's engine and tranny singing as we went through each gear! This truely must be heaven? Thanks for sharing yours with us all Bro! "RC"

I had the same feeling the other day.
Of course it was 44 degrees and cloudy here.
But the cool air just booosts the HP.
I agree 100%! When you drive your Mustang only on good weather or because you don't want to get your precious a little dirty, you lose out! Just keep good tires for all weather on the car and DRIVE it! My GT/CS has 40,000 miles on it now, and I use the car daily. At times, it gets filthy dirty due to the various roads I must travel, but the car cleans right up again! Mine needs new tires now after 40,000 miles on the originals. I do a lot of highway driving due to my job. To say I love my car would be a severe understatement !
Now, now, not all of us can driver their babies every day. If it makes them happy to drive a beater to work and only the Mustangs on the weekends/good days... then that's what makes them happy, and more power to them.
Just no trailer queens. That's sacrilege.
