Now, all I need is about $5,000 and a room big enough to house it... What you cant see is the recessed lighting over the head of the bed... I will install shelves on the wall at the right height so that we can have clocks, etc at the bedside.

In our old house I had faux finished our old master in a grey with a silvery lavender undertones. It gave it a real castle gothic feel.

Our next house is going to be VERY big on rich dark woods, gold/brass accents. It will have a formal dining room, formal library, and the kitchen will have a real stone hearth.

I have seen lots of beds similar... but most are missing at least one major component of the one I want... Either the full tudor style top, or all the drawers/cabinets, and NONE of them are made of high quality hard wood. I almost bought one of those dresser beds, but, I just cant spend $1500 on a compromise.

My uncle was the only other person I know of that had a bed like this. His didnt have the top, but it was a four poster, and everything else was the same. He had to commission a furniture designer. I have been searching for this bed for 5 years now... I finally just designed what I wanted, and will commission a designer.

 

Try World Market. They had one VERY similar when I was in last weekend. Bench and all.
