I love what you've done. I'm currently in an apartment with no balcony and no place to grow anything but when I had my house I grew lots of roses. Get a Chrysler Imperial (the rose, not the car) and you;ll have the sweetest smelling red rose that ever bloomed.

I have a sick spot for Josephs coats. I have one climber and 3 miniatures. Every fancy rose I ever bought, I have killed.

I have a red and a yellow confederate rose(flowering maple) Angel trumpet, new guinea impatiens, lavender, rosemary, sage, lambs ears, you name it. I outta own stock in the plant nursery.
Last week I swore off buying more flowers- today I went out and bought more Salvia and Gazania Daisies.

Looks great April, I can see your climate zone is definitely way ahead of mine! I've started 21 varieties of tomatoes and various other veggies and flowers under grow lights in the house, and expect to start planting outside this coming weekend. I buy perrenials every year to replace the ones the rabbits dined on :bang: My rhododendrons and hyacinths just finished bloomng, now tulips and daffodils are prime. Lots to look forward to this summer!

Man! All that stuff bloomed and died months ago here. I love to garden, I do it nonstop- when this stuff dies, I replace with pansies and mums. Everything perrinial I drag inside for the winter.

How about a pond for your fish?, instead of that lil' bucket thing. Maybe one of those 2 level ponds with a small waterfall that you can buy at lowes or home depot etc....just a thought...

Begonias like shade and they would look good around that tree trunk. Fushias sp?) and tree roses would make your entryway wonderful.

I have fuschias in pots.....And am saving for my tree roses(and orange hibiscus)- they are $50 a pop for the ones I Want.

I don't want permanence- I am roosting here till one of the houses on my list go on the market. I want this neighborhood, this house I am living in until one goes up- the ones here always go up and sell within a week, and the really cool ones never go up.

Soon Soon.....
When I move to the house I want, I have huge plans for a Koi pond with waterfall.

My fountain was for lilly pads(planted orange and yellow ones), the .28 cent goldfish were a wild hare.

Check out these supercool wind chimes......My MIL aquired them for me..Majesty bells hand tuned, they sound like church bells.
