Well today started out as a normal day. Got up, got ready and went to work. Did my normal stuff at work for about an hour and then went to check out the site....
what, noway......say it isn't so...... the forums are down
What about all the topics I want to reply to? I even wanted to create a few and couldn't. I started sweating. My hands were shaking. I couldn't concentrate.
I started to feel naucious (ya, I can't spell I am in so much shock). I decided the best thing to do was to go home sick and wait for the forums to be working again.
So now I am at my home office and glad to see that most of the forums are working. I can go back to work. Wait a minute, the day is over. No point in doing that now. Guess I'll just start replying to some topics instead.

I had to relearn Accountancy when I was faced with the prospect of having to do some! For those of you that weren't up, the problems started around 5am ET (10am for me), so that was my entire day messed up!!!!!
I did some work though, so my boss likes me again!!

This was nothing, the forums were KO'd for a month a year ago and we had to start from scratch.
A few hours is nothing, remember when the forums were down every day because of bandwidth?

brad, and the rest of TMS staff, your jobs just got a bit more important. if TMS goes down aproxamately 5000 other people will go into withdrawl and cease to function normally.
our nation(s)* are depending on YOU

Well teh site wasnt going down before due to bandwidth.. it was merely due to popularity that it was overloading the server.. however, i can say the servers staying up as much as they did was a testimate to how great our webhost is. The servers were handling about 125% of what they should have been at any given moment.
Now onto this, we are still working out alot of bugs. Not sure what happened yet, hopefully we will know soon. No data was lost (per the early morning backups that are in place). HOpefully by this afternoon, we will be back at 100%.
