bad crash

this just happened today about 1 mile from where i live. the pictures are terrifying as well as the video. in the last picture on that site, you can see the camaro in the back ground.

the story isnt right though. what happened was a camaro and fox body stang were racing (both 8s) and there was a dump truck turning onto that same road from an intersection. the camaro grazed the truck and lost control and hit a telephone pole. the mustang went head first into the back corner of the truck, LAUNCHED THE TRUCK INTO THE AIR!!, MADE IT DO A 360 turn WHILE AIR BORNE, and land on the hood of a honda that was behind it. mustang caught fire but both kids in the car were pulled out. camaro driver, honda driver, and truck driver are fine. both kids from the mustang are in serious medical condition. both kids int he mustang are in the same high school i graduated from 2 years ago.

one of the guys who posted his remarks on the story on the news site said the kid just had his parents buy him this car and was constantly racing it at all hours of the day.

Its dumb kids like this who make insurance go up for us safer drivers. darn being a male driver under 25 years old.

Whoa...

And ya...this is exactly why males have higher insurance.

FYI, women are actually involved in more accidents then men, but the payout on men's accidents is more.

I have mixed feelings.
I feel bad for the family, but anger toward all those teens who street race, drive wrecklessy, and because of a few; all people under 25 suffer for it.

jebus.. i feel that street racing is one of the most moronic things you can do, but i dont think anyone deserves to lose their life.

My heart goes out to those familys that suffer at this time , they out to have a campain with bill board videos or picture of people caught wrecklessly speeding and put them up for a so called public humilliation. I seenn the idea on BeWitched when I was a kid when someone used too much power . Please Slow down or you will loose Mother Goose so don't feel the need for speed !

I totally agree with everybody that street racing isnt the brightest idea. But its hard for kids not too because all they want to do is race their cars and people say ya "take it to the track". I dont know how much it is for everyone else to race their car at the track for here at Englishtown, NJ it ranges between 20-30 dollars depemding on the night. I dont have that kind of money to spend on just taking my car somewhere to race and neither do most teens. Thats why most of them do it. I just dont because if I ever got caught I would never be able to afford insurance.
