hit and run!!!

I think anyone who does a hit and run should be drawn and quartered!! Tonight at about 11pm I was sitting at an intersection driving home from the grocery store ( I know, I am crazy!!!) Anyhoo, my light turned green so I proceeded through the intersecting like I have done a million times. They car next to me makes it through and a guy in the oncoming turn lane turned left behind him and clipped my front bumper at a high rate of speed. and then took off.

I didnt even see him coming because of the car to my left. by the time I looked up from the airbag he was about 75 yards up the road. all I could tell was it was a dark fullsize SUV. I am unhurt except for friction burn from the airbags deploying. The car lost its bumper, bumper brace is bent, hood is buckled, passenger fender is pushed back against the passenger door.

Anyhoo,I just wanted to vent. Be safe guys I will post pics in the morning when there is light.

Yeah, I am pretty sure they were drunk which is why they ran. They were coming from the direction of Oktoberfest in Addison Tx. I am very lucky thanks, washing the scrapes on my wrists hurt worse than the accident.

Glad to hear you are ok but man, that really sucks. I agree that they most likely were drunk. I can't stand it when people drink and drive.

I would be so unbelevieably ticked.

You've got more restraint than me to not have torn off after them.

Glad you o.k. Looks like the mustang is repairable. My wish is that rear enders as well as hit and run drivers where dealt with on the spot ( if you get my drift).

Wow, didn't look to severe in those first pics, but that rebar sure took a hit. Looking at the pic, I would've guessed you rear-ended an SUV w/ a hitch and rear mount spare.

I too was involved in a hit and run on I35 in dallas sept of 05. I still havent settled, Insurance dragging it out BAD! Did you file a hit and run report? Also check with addisons PD about cameras possible on Intersections.

I filed with the dallas pd since it was technically in dallas as a hit and run accident. State Farm told me to just drop it off at the shop and it will be taken care of.

I didnt even see the SUV that hit me. there was a car in the lane next to me and I dont remember if they stopped or what I just felt the impact and when I looked up from the air bag they were headed up the toll road feeder in a hurry. they didnt even slow down.
