Happy Fathers Day to all the Fathers here. I am lucky to have a family who supports my quest for the 2005 Mustang. Check out this certificate the kids gave me. It has $10 taped to the back of it. I can't wait to take it into the dealer and use it to help pay for the car.

 

That's great!!!...Mine was an 03 GT Vert,lol!!!...oh and a cane for the knee surgery I had this past Friday.

Yep,that's my 03 GT vert Centennial Ed. The wife told me it's my father's day gift,lol. It's an auto so there's no prob driving it...especially since it's my left knee. I love the 05 look but I needed an auto now

My family supports my quest for the '05 which is simply a miracle when it comes to my wife. It's like getting blood from a turnip when dealing with my wife and money.
She's gonna let me have free reign on the '05 though, God bless her. I just lost my down payment which is going to hurt a bit. About 10 k worth. My son called me on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago and told me that he didn't have 1 running vehicle out of 4 between him and his girlfriend. I called him later that day and told him to come over. When he got to our house I gave him the keys to my pickup. The only catch was that he had to get rid of all his crap (non running cars) and let me use it on occasion. He agreed. So he now owns my down payment, but the opportunity to help one of my kids will be worth the extra coin in the monthly payment. Good luck to all and HAPPY FATHERS DAY.

Pony, you are right ... kids are the best. That was a incredible gift from you to your son, and like Scootr I think that your gesture is something your son will always remember. That is awesome that you have your wife's support for the Mustang, and I hope that you are sitting in a new one real soon. What color and model are you leaning towards ?

 

GT premium, manual Tranny. Not sure 'bout color. One of the blues or maybe the silver. I have to see the colors up close and personal before I can decide. Being as old as I am, I can be patient and decide after I see a few flying down the road and checking out the dealer lots. Same with the interior. I will be ordering mine probably in March. This car will never see snow or rain. It's gonna be like my '66 and hold down the garage floor most of the time. How 'bout you, model/color?

 

Same as you with the Premium GT and 5 speed manual I would like to get the Mineral Grey w/dark charcoal interior. Cant wait !
