I know it's a long weekend with fireworks, family, and the BBQ. And that's great.

But take a moment to remember what the 4th signifies. Those brave men who signed our Declaration of Independence still had to wonder if we would win the war against England or if they would end up on the gallows. Fortunately for us, they didn't.

There is no country in this world which enjoys more freedom than we do. Other countries have put up fences to keep people in while we debate about a fence to keep people out. Think about that. It's not just about economic opportunity although that is a factor. It's about freedom.

Whether you were born here or came from another country, we are all Americans. Give thanks for that and to this great country of ours.

I second that. Taking the big old red F750 dump with the flag mounted in the back to our local AMVET parade tomorrow.

I was talking to someone at an Irish pub here in Virginia Beach, he's from Ireland. I showed him and some of his friends my car tonight and he said Mustangs were "truly the American car". I bought him a Guiness.

Happy 4th and remember those military people fighting all over for our freedoms. Those from America and our allied forces (Canadians!) all sacrifice for our freedom to enjoy today.

I believe we shot the coolest fireworks ever......

Our friends went to the fireworks warehouse and brought commercial ones back..TOO cool.

Then when we got tired of shooting firecrackers another trip to Crazy Bills was in store. We bought little fun piddly fireworks. Parachutes and stuff.

We ate too much grilled Kabobs and corn on the cob and french bread.......

And wound up the night watching fireworks put on by the american village.

Eleanor ran out of gas.......we took the white car out cause I was too lazy to gas up. I swear its on its last legs. Lord just let it last till we close on the house.........
