actually, this car started as a joint venture between DeTomaso and another company, and was said to be a future car in the DeTomaso line up... but they broke ties and the other company stayed with it. The other company was an important importer of automobiles, especially DeTomaso automobiles

My dad used to own one of these. I remember him fitting a button in the centre console that acted as an intermittent front wiper switch (the wipers only had 2 settings, on and off)

Avanti! Circa 1964 I think, and built by Studebaker in Canada as I recall. Thanks for bringing this thread back to life. It's my favorite.
