GT4 Challenge #2

Since the first challenge of Circuit de la Sarthe II was pretty good, but dropping in participation, I thought we'd move onto a new one.

With Nascar about to head to its first road course of the year, I thought we'd give Infineon - Stock Car Configuration a shot.

Lets limit it to US Made cars only (if it shows up in your garage after you've choosen USA, its legal). Any mods you want, with the exception of nitrous, which we so far have kept out of the challenges.

I'll start out.

Chevy Camaro LM Race Car - 1'07.652 and I have alot of room for improvement.

Good luck

OK . . . took a little tour around Infineon-Stock Car Configuration in three cars.

1. Saleen SR7 - 1'06.048

2. Panoz Esperante GTR-1 - 1'01.778

3. Camaro LM Race Car - 1'01.298

I think I may be able to get under 1'01.000 with a little practice. Panoz seemed faster, though a little 'twitcher'. Camaro was smooth, but I need to adjust the rear brake bias (currently have F-6/R-6).

I knew you'd come out fighting. I'm down to 1'03.105. After many laps I started trying to tweak stuff and would always end up getting slower. Now i've forgotten where I had it

I write my last exam this morning so I'll have some time to try this soon.

I think this is challenge #3, the first one was at the nurburgring but I think the thread was lost.

Nice run. I don't think I've ever raced the Viper.

I'll hopefully get to this soon. Right now I'm in the middle of the Formula GT World Championship so I can finally win the Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car and post a time in the other GT4 challenge.

You guys are way ahead of me. I'm still working on the Beginner's Challenges! (Don't get to play very often, obviously.)

Steve-

We run our hot laps as a practice sessions, which I think one can run at any stage. Just get some cash to buy a USA car to compete, or try and win one.

After about 20 lap I ran a best 1:01:474 in the Camaro LM Race Car.

Still had some poorly executed turns so i think I could knock a second off that.

Dodge Viper GT-R Team Oreca is much faster than the Camaro LM Race Car.

Got it down to 59:159 in the Viper.
