Typical woman

I'm so glad that I am not materialistic :P

I have only 3 rings. One is my wedding ring (1 1/2 carats). The one is a 10 year anniversary ring, and the one I just got is a past present future ring.

Oh and if you shop sales.........Its not really shopping.

I get everything I want at a discount(even Eleanor)..So Its not like I blow money Wildly....

For instance...I got about $450 worth of stuff at Old Navy today for $186....

And yesterday I got 250 worth of new house stuff for 100.

AND today I got $125 worth of shoes for $25..

You've definitely learned what value means.

When did this topic become about sales at Old Navy?

Like, people like that are like SO annoying, like oh my goodness

I find that like no matter where you like go in life, there will always be like people talking like that, and like, the best like solution I can like think of is like ear plugs

BTW, I'd go with the off-white.

My son talks trash mouth too. I think its the crowd they hang with. I don't think listening to Rap at high volume everyday helps either. ( I am not trying to offend rappers by that statement).

Speaking of youth?
Since when is it IMPERATIVE to own a cell phone and dress like you are turning $2 tricks on the corner at twelve?

My daughters friends- Whoooooee. And we won't go into how the 12 year old boys talk.

A girl came up to the theatre the other night, I swear she looked like she was 19 (and attractive for 19) and asked why they wouldn't sell her a ticket to a late movie. So we asked how old she was and she told us that she was 14... I was like, "I'm going to jail" :cop2:

Warning: Rant to follow:

One of my pet peeves...

I really hate generalizing people. Not all of us that enjoy beautiful material things are money hungry trophy wives. I love my Tiffany jewlery. Heck, we bought my daughter a bracelet from Tiffanys for her 6th grade graduation. Yes, she is 11, and she owns a Tiffany bracelet. I see the other kids look at her like she is spoiled, and I see other parents look at us like we are idiots. What they dont know is what she had to go through to get to 6th grade, and how hard she worked to graduate. She appreciates EVERY thing she is given, and NEVER fails to say thank you.

Self proclaimed label ho here.. proud of it. My husband buys my jewlery at Tiffanys, purses from Chanel and Dior, and the car is a Stang. That doesnt mean I dont wear ripped jeans from the local beach shop, or wife beater tanks.

I spent many years dirt poor. I still work full time, and take really good care of my husband, family, and home. In return I get 4 carat wedding rings, Tiffany rings, and necklaces, bracelets and purses from designer houses. I dont look down my nose at anyone who doesnt have the same things. I truly think that its all in the attitude, and whether or not there is a sense of entitlement with those matrialistic items.

I dont EXPECT these things, and I would never chose one of those items over food, rent, health, or anything else that is truly important. If I had to choose between health and happiness and all the labels I can stand, I would choose health and happiness in less than a heartbeat. We work hard so that we can afford the cars we want, the things we want, AND be happy and healthy at the same time.

Believe me, I see the snobs when I walk into those stores... When I bought hubbys birthday gift last year at Cartier, the security guard almost didnt let me in the door. the sales woman sniffed at me, and walked away. She was VERY upset when the rookie sales guy ended up with my purchase. I love walking into those stores in jeans and a tank, flip flops, and the only jewlery I got is my wedding ring. They dont notice it right off, and most times will just about tell me to leave the store. When the card is approved is when I suddenly get the royal kiss hiney treatment, and by then I have already told them off. I dont like generalizations of people of all kinds. Dont think I am less than because I am in a pair of old Levis and a tank, and dont give me attitude cuz I happen to be sporting my designer clothes and Tiffany jewlery. I am still the same girl who loves to drive fast in her car, will get down and dirty with her kid, and knows the value of every penny that goes through my hands.

Scott, I wish the worst thing the 13 yr old girls do is talk like that. Around here its cool to curse up a blue streak. I have a pretty foul mouth, and these girls put me to shame.

Sorry, rant over.
