Greatest. Girlfriend. Ever!-- X-Men #137
I am freakin' lucky!
Girlfriend bought me Uncanny X-Men #137... The issue where Jean Grey/Phoenix destroys herself to save the world from herself... in CGC grade 9.4! I have wanted this issue, part of the Dark Phoenix Saga, for a while now.
I already have a Swarovski necklace and a Marc Jacobs perfume she wanted, wrapped up and ready to be presented to her
Hope she gets as stoked as I got when I got the comic

It sure is a first print!
The CGC graded it and enclosed it with a nice hard plastic, never to be opened again LOL http://cgccomics.com/
The CGC is the most reliable source of Comic grading out there, so I think my girlfriend did her homework before buying it lol

HAHA that is scarey chris
Dream job..well it was a small store..but I managed to smuggle about $4K worth of comics out before it closed ..Probably worth nothing now.
I've got about 15 Spawn#1's LOL
I should probably get a guide and see what my collection is worth now.
When i collected it really wasn't for the money I either liked the stories or the art or both..I don't have a ton of rare stuff.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure Doug was able to get his hands on some gems
Chris- What's your earliest Batman comic? and your favorite?

Needs to be more Astony
I also don't collect old or rare comics... I used to buy comics i liked the art or story and i used to have subscriptions to Batman, Robin, Detective Comics, Shadow of the bat, Ledgends of the dark knight.
I want to get subscriptions again but the price is rediculous now. I used to get them for 9.95 each a year and now they are over double that.
I really don't have a favorite.
