Got some really bad news yesterday
So I got some bad news yesterday from my girlfriend Melody, she just got some results back from her doctor and they told her that she has breast cancer. Im still pretty much in shock since it seems that things like these are always something that happens to someone else, but I guess that were all someone else to everyone else. Shes really optimistic about it which is good, but im having a lot of trouble with it, everytime i start thinking about it my entire body just seems to start cramping up. Its the worst feeling ive ever had in my life. Shes only 20 years old and it was at my 20th birthday party last night hat she broke the news to me.
The doctor said that shes got a good chance since they found it early. Anyways, like I said im having a really hard time with this, im not one to pray, but id appreciate any support form you guys since I know its a really tight group on here.

Thinking of you and Melody. Try to be there for her. Listen if she needs to talk, hold her if she needs to cry. Take care of yourself too. There is a great deal of info on the net, and forums for this too. It might help both of you to connect with others in the same situation.

I know what you're feeling right now. My Grandmother had it back 12 years ago and my Mother had it about 4 years ago. A co-worker just got it back in March.
All three ladies came through with flying colors. Modern medicine is actually functional and better. Since you caught it early, there is a great chance for success and minimal downtime and side effects.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. You need to be the strong one here, so remember to keep positive as she needs you most now.

I'm sorry to hear the news bro, but like everyone is saying it is a blessing they caought it so early. My cousins wife had breast cancer, and the doctors never caught until later, and it had already progressed. So it is a very good thing they caught. Recognized early there is a great success rate of cures. Our prayers are with saty strong bro

Thanks a lot guys. The last few days have been a whirlwind and still a bit surreal. I dont mean to preach or sound cliche but this whole thing has turned me right around, never take anyone for granted since you never know how long you have left with them. I cant stress it enough, but im sure most of you guys who have lost someone close have wished that you had done more when you still could have, and know exactly what im talking about. Make sure that the people around you always KNOW what they mean to you. Thanks again for the support and sorry about the rant/cliche/preach.

My prayers are with you both. It will be a difficult time for her and for you, and you will need to lean on each other and your families/friends for help. Keep positive and hope for the best, there are a lot of people who make it through with flying colors, even though there are some who do not. I have been through what you are and know exactly what you will feel and need for support. Don't be afraid to ask for help from your family and friends, they will be there for you. Best of luck to you both.
