 D**m luvbugs. Take my car to work. Its night on the way there but driving home 10 miles and afterwards my car looks black from the lubugs I had killed. If killing these things were a crime I'd be a serial killer. Took me an hour to clean them off.

Nevermind, I just reread Brad's announcement. But read in the link the part about motorists.
Yes, it is that bad.

My husband just got back from a deep sea fishing trip in florida and the front of his red car was black with these critters. We had to pressure wash the car and still had trouble getting them off.

Up here you can't drive near the river or body of water at night because of the bugs attracted by the cars light. In the daytime its red winged blackbirds during nesting time. I hit one of those suckers while riding a motorcycle. Almost knocked me off.

Try and stay off the roads between 10am-2pm, that's the peak time they're out. Not the only time mind you, but the heaviest concentration of them. They're out in May and September. Earlier this year it took my wife and I a full hour just to clean off my front bumper
