So, Let me ask you VW, if you were to turn on CNN tomorrow, and she was 'missing' again, what would your first thought be?

But my point is that I dont know the whole story. Personally I think there might be something more to the reason she left than we know. So I dont think its right to jump to conclusions, that's all.
No need to get angry with me.

Or her OWN husband. Who would suspect the "baby face All-American boy next door" if she were to disappear again?

Now that I think about it, I'd marry her in a flash... and insure her for millions.

They should tell her to look directly into the camera and apologize to everyone but then again we wouldn't know which way she was looking with those eyes!!!

My point is simple. What she did was dumb and only caused problems. Andy described it best in a few threads up...
Is there more to the story? Maybe, maybe not. But that dont change the fact that there were scores of people out searching for her, using time and money, --- and her family was left confused, scared, worried sick and looking for her as well. Her fiancee was subjected to harsh questioning, and was being protrayed as the possible suspect, and the whole time, she was not even KIDNAPPED!
As far as my comment --- Im simply stating that if this woman was on CNN tomorrow, as being 'missing' would you believe her? What if this time she actually IS kidnapped? Serial killers and rapist look for easy targets, and this is pretty much as easy as it could get. I think if she came up missing again, it would only make everyone skeptical about looking for her again. So, not only did it cause unnecessary commotion to alot of other people (cops and volunteers), but she could have caused herself to be in danger in the future.
There's nothing that I said that was JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS.
She left on her own.
She was not missing.
``````````Thats facts, not guesses on my part.
and IMO she was selfish and foolish. Again, only my .02, but thats mine.
Thanks Lynell!!!
I agree with you Lynell, you aren't jumping to conclusions at all. The facts are there and if this bride to be were having problems and didn't feel she could talk to anyone family wise, well then maybe she should have seeked help through her friends or maybe professional help (which she now has to go through anyway).
Running from problems is never the solution.
New dirt coming out.
It seems the Runaway Princess had a little shop lifting habit and got caught with about $700 worth of goodies back in '96. I am willing to bet her future hubby didn't know a thing about that.
Isn't it fun to have 15 minutes of fame?
An ugly version of Wynona Ryder. I'm sorry thats not nice, BUT ITS FUNNY!!!
Well, the cost was about $60,000 from what I have read on CNN. Most likely her family would pay the fine (which are the same people that some say were hurt the most by this).
I guess she might do community service, or something which i think would be good. Of course, the media will make it a carnival with cameras and stuff, so hopefully it will be somewhere where it doesnt get out of hand, and the press can be kept away.
And then there is the public shame she has received already, and in the future. She will always be known as "the runaway bride". That should help her with getting a job and whatnot...
What else should be done to punish her?
:nono: Her family should not pay, SHE SHOULD. And I agree, Community Service would be a great idea.
As far as the backlash / public shame she received? She brought it on herself.
