The performance was good, but Daron (the guitarist) should stick to his guitar. It's not that he was a horrible vocalist, it's just that Serj has one heck of a unique and great voice that the songs lose something if you can't hear it clear, imo

Yeah, Daron did 85% of the vocals on mezmerize. Its acctually a great album. Serj does have a awesome voice.

While most would think of them as weird, they are a very political rock band with ALOT of talent. Also some of the best driving music around. I can also show you much weirder bands :P

You need to hear stuff off their albums. the sound from SNL wasnt as good as they perform in other venues and also in studio.

Didnt know Daron did 85 percent of the vocals on the CD, that's kinda surprising.
I love how they have all of these influences in their songs. the cool thing is that it's not just one infleunce per song, it's a bunch of different sounds in one song!
I can think of a number of bands weirder than that off the top of my head also LOL

I read a article today in which it says that Hypnotize will be more of Serj's vocals. These 2 albums (mez and Hyp) are supposed to be a follow up set to Toxicity and Steal this Album combined. I cant wait to hear Hypnotize, as Mezmerize really does rock.

Mezmerize is great, but what's up with their obsession with saying Hollywood? Yeah, I read the lyrics and realize the different meanings behind the songs but it is just a little odd hearing "Hollywood" so much. 
"You should've never trusted Hollywood..." "Old school Hollywood, washed up Hollywood" Good songs, but man, stop saying Hollywood so much!!!!

Daron grew up in the not so ritzy area of hollywood and i think alot of it is geared towards his thoughts and feelings towards it
