This is my future counsin-in-law's first hand experience in New Orleans. His photographic journal spans five days, from Sunday, August 31 to Thursday, September 4. He was working and living in New Orleans up until last Friday. He left to Houston and flew to Miami on Monday. He has lost everything but happy to be alive. This is his photos and story.

Please take a look, its very powerful.

very moving. Just shows how some people can stay sane during a time like that. To take pictures and everything, just amazing.

Thanks for sharing that with us. It was nice to get a first hand look from the inside, not just what the media wants to shove down your throat.

I went back later and looked through all the pictures, he really did an outstanding job with the photos and the captions.

wow... that was amazing. some of those photos are really touching.

all those people down there (minus the @#$%ers who looted a flipping shoe store and then tried to burn it) are in my prayers.

the lone fireman photo was really touching as well.

for the record, i hope that those who looted non-essentials, like shoes, jewlery and crap will burn in HADES!!!!
