I didnt really like it either, it's really overrated, as is scarface. And because I know what the ending is, I really have no desire to watch the movie again.

I guess you were never challenged by your friends to prove your manhood by finding the biggest guy on the dance floor dancing close and personal with his girlfriend and cutting in... whether he approved of it or not.

It was pretty funny when thier homework was to "get in a fight with someone you dont know and lose"....that guy with the hose was hilarious.

I can truly say I owe my life to my mother. Thanks Mom!

It wasn't funny or even pretty a couple of times I came home bloodied and bruised. Then I had to be really concerned with facing my father and his total displeasure and intolerance for violence, which had a tendency to erode his patience and composure real quick, which lead to my mother having to intervene on my behalf.

It is disturbing in it's own right.
"total displeasure and intolerance for violence, which had a tendency to erode his patience and composure real quick, which lead to my mother having to intervene on my behalf"
No offense, but does that make your dad an oxymoron?

Maybe George's "mom" is his alter ego?

As for your "no offense" remark, the implication states its purpose to be the exact opposite otherwise there would be no need for the bold lettering. Nice jab though. Just keep in mind every swing leaves an opening for a counter punch.

Well in general I liked it. I'd watch it again and have. But I'm a Ed Norton fan. American History X, Fight Club, Rounders. I did not know there was a book. Also love the final song The Pixies-"Where is my mind?" Gotta love The Pixies!

No, it would make him an undefeated amateur boxer with over twenty organized fights under his belt. He understood the risks of how confrontations start and how they can end, I didn't. I was ignorant, naive, a know it all, and he knew better.

The highlighting was strictly to make sure nobody missed the word.
I was just commenting on the implications of having your life saved from a person that has "total displeasure and intolerance for violence".
It was like a "pretty ugly" "peace force".
I feel "clearly misunderstood" but I am only an "amateur expert" with oxymorons.
I know it might not have seemed "terribly nice", but I am "hopelessly optimistic" that my jokes are funny.
I didn't want to create a "friendly argument" or a "minor disaster".
I hope your dad wasn't a "light heavyweight" because then surely he would be an oxymoron.

I loved Fight Club and still do..\I liked the book but for some reason it was hard for me to read.
Now scarface..ugh what a piece of crap...now i hate pacino anyway so I'm kinda biased like that LOL
Fight Club is way beter the second time around because you get to sit and see all the little clues that were dropped. Like when Jack Beats himself up infront of his boss and you hear his narration say " For some reason I thought of my first fight...with Tyler"
Freaking brilliant..I'm also a sucker for movies with good narrations and this one fits the bill
