My wife and I both are praying for Eric's health, as well as for his family and the rest of the Force Racing team. We all know this sport is dangerous, but it's still disturbing when we hear about something like this.

Thanks for the update link, Dave. We'll definitely say a prayer for Eric, one of the genuine "nice guys" in racing.

I'm just devastated. Terrible loss for Ford Racing and the Mustang community.

Sad day. I'm sure the racing team is a close knit bunch, and will all be devastated, as well as Eric's family. My prayers are with them.
Reality check time. Let's be careful out there.

This helped me, even though I have a very heavy heart about his passing:

"I believe with my whole heart and with every ounce of my spirit, that while the answer to our prayers for Eric's physical healing was No, that our prayers for him were answered in the very best possible way for HIM. I truly hope that everyone who is grieving at this time, will come to understand and believe this.

Rest in peace Eric Medlen. Thank you for your smile and your humor and your enthusiasm and your passion and your talent and your life, in the brief time you had on this earth. I know that you are now still close to all of your loved ones, in their hearts, until such time as they too are called. home and you see them once again, face to face."
