the fact that this rain hit us hard and that we are basically the worst drivers in the u.s. (we seem to freak out when we have to drive in the rain) caused a lot of fender bender accidents on the streets and many serious injuries on the freeway. i would watch the news, and basically every freeway had little yellow graphics signaling an accident. there was once a little strecth of freeway with about 3 of those little graphics lol
californians when it rains and the way others see us:

I'm not saying our rain was worse, but we had enough to flood the Three Rivers in Pittsburgh. The thing that stinks about that is they built the highway right next to the "Mon" River. Not just a highway, but the main highway leaving the city - that everyone uses going home.
So when it rains hard enough, the highway floods and they close the road down. They close down the main road leaving town during rush hour. :bang: :bang:
The situation is so common, they call the section that floods "The Bathtub." When you drive on it, you can see you are pretty close to the water level.
Now I am an Engineer and I am Polish. But I have enough common sense to NOT build a major highway that is at the same level as the water and less than 100 feet away. What did they think was going to happen?

LOL Lalo
That is one of the greatest emoticons I've seen. I really does fit in well.
I'm glad It's dry. Last weekend we were supposed to go to to the theater and Auto show, but my mom didnt feel like going in the hard rain. Especially with the drivers down here.
This weekend looks real promising for 3x's fun.
