Driving shoe?

I would like a sneaker-like driving shoe. I've tried the Pilotti driving shoes, and they're not wide enough. I wear a 13 wide. Anyone have any suggestions?

i am going to buy some simpson lowtops, some time next week and i think you can where them as daily wear shoes too and then they have casual shoes that are not fire resitant but look good and have the same grip as the normal driving shoes

I've used Simpson shoes for years. They're just the right width and flexibility for the fine heel/toe control.

Hah. Just try driving for several hours straight at 10/10ths and see if you can get by without them. I guarantee you won't be able to make a fist at the end of the day. The extra grip of the gloves allows you to get by with a looser hand grip. They're also good protection to boot.

Have you gone on Oakley's website lately? They came out with new styles of their driving shoes and boots. The boots are rather pricey but the mid shoes are only $100. I really want a pair of Piloti's but I can't find any dealers near me as I want to try them on before I buy them.

I bought a pair of Pilotis, very nice. If you don't have a wide foot, they would be fine. If you're going to wear heavy socks with them, I'd order the next size up.

You can wear them whenever you like, but bear in mind that the soles are super soft with little support. They're pretty much gloves for your feet.

I like my Adidas AdiRacer. Maybe they're not technically driving shoes, but they have the rounded heal and the rubber sole says goodyear...good enough for me!

I really like Adidas footwear. They're the supplier for Germany's GSG9 (Counter Terrorism Group):
