Are the oak trees in anyone else's town attacking your Mustang? Lately the acorns have been constantly falling like meteors around here. I don't remember them ever being this bad. You'll be driving along then CRACK! an acorn will nail your car. It sounds like its hitting pretty hard. I try not to park under trees, but I can't do much while I'm driving.

Maybe I'll floor it next time I sense one falling and dodge it before it hits Anyway, just wondering if this is happening to anyone else and if these things are going to hurt my pony

The environment is finally returning the favor I guess

Funny you mention this, I just got my car back from the body shop. There were 39 dents on my hood from acorns. Would have been cheaper just to buy a new hood! I guess that is one of the drawbacks with aluminum.

Brandon, I live in NC and yes the acorn "population" this year is ridiculous!! Not only are they attacking our cars but they are creating a lawn maintenance headache.

I've bagged a ton this year. Someone was saying that when the acorn production is high, it means a bad winter

I was in Lake Tahoe this summer on vacation and they had 3lb pine cones laying on the ground. I put the car in the garage and made my buddy move his Jeep outside. I told him that real 4wd vehicles should have dents.

I have *one* parking spot in front of my complex that is not underneath the acorn rain and I sure do my best to make sure I always get it!

Acorns are terrible. My parents have these 100 ft tall Oak trees surrounding their house, and I swear to god right before they hit your car I can see smoke comming off them from Earth re-entry and sonic booms. It is the worst darn sound in the world hearing an acorn hit your car, nobody understands this more than me. I feel for you guys. My previous cars had dimples all over them and looked like they have been in a hail storm.

I can happily say that my Mustang has no acorn hits on it yet. Because well I don't live there anymore and when I do go there I park at this spot in the middle of the driveway where there's a tree clearing. If there aren't oak trees, there are pine trees. Sap dripping on your car is awesome too. I used to pray every day that a tornado would come down from heaven and knock all the trees down in their yard. It was impossible to cut the trees down myself because of power lines running up the driveway to the house.

Acorns = :evil:

Over here in Suburbia the tree ***** tear down and burn all the trees- so as to make room for more houses.

Most I have to worry about is massive amounts of red clay dust swirling all over. I have to CONSTANTLY wash Eleanor.
