alright, say you were to find this totally awesome 10 sec long drag racing vid. and then say you wanted to make it an avatar and you proceed to open the vid play it in full screen and take screenshots at all the appropriate times...

and then say you try and put these screenshots into Adobe Illustrator to make the animated gif. WHY DONT IT WORK!

as soon as i save the next frame, the old frame that i saved as a seperate file changes to be exactly like frame numero dos!

can sdomeone explain how to do this whole process in detail?? arin doesnt get it

^_^ yep manny, i didded it all by myself lol

doug-i got smart! lol i didnt take vid. i took multiple snapshots and put em together in a .gif

i suddenly remembered that i learned this in Kindergarten when i was watching this movie about pigs in the mud and they explained how they did it cuz it was a clay movie, like chicken run, wallace and gromit, etc.

all the lights and smoke and tire spinning was done in photoshop and the animation was done in Imageready

i feel all smart right now :P

Dont you dare post it as your avatar. Animated gifs that large kill bandwidth and also tie up peoples system resources. Especially if you dont have alot of ram.

Exactly. Animated gifs, especially large ones are huge bandwidth hogs and should never be used
