I decided after watching a news show to do a clean of the computer. I'm not very computer literate (that's my brothers job) but I did a cookie, file, and history delete but when I go into Explorer and start typing an address I see that autoweek, a couple of military pay sites, and bank of america (which I haven't used in a year) will still come up after I type www.

Any reason why these show up and others don't?

OK-bring up your web browser, click on tools, then internet options, then content. You'll see at the bottom a section for Autocomplete. Click the button, and you'll see 3 boxes marked Web Addresses, forms & user names/passwords.\

Clear all three boxes to turn these features off, then click on the two Clear function buttons.

Once you have done this Windows will no longer remember the web addresses you type in.

Ohhhhhhhhh, you are so smart. I hear from the hacker world the Explorer has hidden files that store everything but the bank of america thing was strange. Thanks for the help.

I'm trying to hide from Bank of America. Actually the news story kinda freaked me out with the newer worm viruses out there. I feel better since I got the Norton Anti-virus software.

I use Trend Internet Security myself-Norton has always been overpriced for what it can do-nothing like paying for updates after 6 months with Norton-Trend offers a full year of updates free, each year afterward is $19.99, and Trend will actually help you update your windows security issues.

AVG anti-virus, AdAware, Kerio Firewall here. Don't know why anyone would pay for Norton or any other program like this. Norton came free on my last few computers and I uninstalled it. Caused more problems than it was supposed to be fixing.

So what about Bank of America? Ya got a linky I can read from?

BTW, do you guys feel safe going to the mall and using your credit cards or debit cards? 'Cause it's probably easier for someone to get bank/card info that way...

Just my .24734632 cents.
