Car sales interview tomorrow

Goooooood evening!

Tomorrow I am going in for an interview at a Jacksonville, FL Ford Dealer. Is there any thing I should know before going in? I'm not nervous at all but job interviews are a thing for me. Since I got out of the Navy in March this is only the 2nd one I've had.

Right now I am taking the time to go over the new Ford models, options and trying to learn as much as I can.

Your attitude and sales skills will be much more important than knowing your Ford models. If someone has sales talent, they can be trained to sell anything. But if someone is shy and not confident of themselves, they wouldn't be able to sell a Crown Vic to a taxi driver. The best thing you can do is psych yourself up and pay extra attention to your personal experience. You'll need to show enthusiasm for the job and that you can sell yourself before they'll consider you to sell cars. Confidence. Enthusiasm. Attitude. Smile. Don't be cocky.

Good luck. It can be a really fun job at the right dealership.

I've been doing roof sales for the past month so I've had that minimum amount of experience. You are absolutely right. Attitude is every thing! I just think that car sales has to be better than going door to door trying to convince people to have their insurance company replace their roof. Though, selling roofs is fun and I want to keep doing it on the side.

Got the job! I start training Monday. The final thing I had to do was sell the hiring manager my cellphone. Went well! Hopefully I get going fast!

I don't know if it is the norm for a Ford dealership but this place is offering paid training. I love that! It shows that they want you people succeed.
Thank you guys! Seriously, I can't wait!
