looks good, but I think that lower shelf might be a little off level?

Yeah it looks a little off to me too, but otherwise pretty good setup. Great work on the bench. I envy a garage like that

The legs on the left side are a little out of alignment, the board ends are uneven, should be taller so you don't have to bend over while working, (bad on the back you know), plywood might have been a better choice for the top so you don't have the cracks for oil etc. to get into. Other than that......
OK man, Just kidding!! It looks great. I'm just jealous cause I don't even have a garage!! My stang sits under a carport with a car cover on it.

thanks guys!!!!

yea i noticed the bottom shelf is low too..... i just measured it fast and cut the 2x4's for it and it was after i put the top on the bench... so i was crammed in there and working on it

i got the pegboard up today and started hanging tools..... hahahaha im winning now..

i gotta hang 2 more 2x4's so i can hang stuff on the walls, then im done with the construction. for now.

the whole point was so i can have a nice organized place for my tools for when I start working on my gs1000

the bike is a 1980 GS750E

4 valves per cylinder TSCC

believe it or not thats just spray paint... lol. i pulled the bike outof a storage shed, removed the bags, and fairings, and stripped her down, made some custom side covers, jetted the carbs, put on the 4-1 V&H exhaust, and put on pod filters, then recovered the seat, put on the clubman bars...

and now shes pretty mean...

here is is before i got my handlebars and bar-end mirrors on it:

i had to rebuild the top end, but only because I ended up stripping out 4 exhaust bolts removing the rusted stock exhaust..... i had to pull the head to take it to a machine shop, so while it was off i had to make sure everthing up top was in spec.

my next project is a 1978 GS1000E model. much like the 750 but only 8 valves.

im getting the wheels powdercoated
seat custom done
new 530 chain conversion with better sprockets (higher gearing)
dynojet stage 3 kit in the carbs
pod filters
another V&H 4-1 exhaust

and I will have it custom painted this time around, no more rattle can for me. lol

the engine is completely torn apart right now... i have new rings and wrist pins and circlips and everthing waiting for her.. just gotta get her put back together...

i have been collecting parts for a few months now getting ready for the project...

shes gonna be a lot nicer than the 750. once shes done i will probably sell off the 750...

cool! what color are you thinking for the 1000?

I really love the 750 though Its very well done. Tastefully built and the paint looks pro. Great job on that one

the tank/rear/seat/frame/ most of the bike will be gloss black...

it will have a torch red stripe downt the sides of the tank and tail..

calipers and small stuff powdercoated red, and wheels will be powdercoated red and aluminum...
