nah, micheal jordan was the start of the end imo...
this is my own view, but i believe "mj" was just a ball-hoggin', ego-maniacal, wife-cheatin', sh*t talkin', moron. every player now a days tries to be "like mike" and that is where the problems start imo.
players should fashion themselves with the likes of Oscar "Big O" Robertson, David Robinson, Larry Bird, and the rest of the players that have set an excellent example for athletes and non-athletes alike.

Basketball goes in waves. People thought it was over when Dr. J retired, then when Magic retired, then Jordan. Another superstar will come soon. LeBron is really maturing this year, and has a much more complete game.

LeBron is doing really good. I think him wearing the #23 is a personal slap in the face to Jordan. He's not that good.

Their are other players wearing #23 you know. If it's anyone that can do for basketball what MJ did, it's LeBron. He's mature beyond his years so it seems, and has his head on straight. The greatest is gone, but their will be other great ones.

Ron Artest used to wear #23.

Now he's #91 (same number Dennis Rodman used to wear).

Rodman wore # 10 as a piston and spur but when he came to Chicago 10 was retired so he chose 91 because 9 and 1 make 10, then as a laker he wore 73, 7 and 3 make 10, also 7 was for his 7 rebounding titles and 3 was for the 3 rings he won as a bull

Basketball was dead (to me) when they decided to stop calling travelling and double dribbling. Oh yeah, offensive fouls might be nice too. If I wanted to watch streetball I'd go to a local playground or something. You put half these new players in the NBA back when the Pistons and Bulls dominated and they'd be a sad joke.
