Has anyone heard this album yet?

It is freaking spectacular... best rock album since Velvet Revolver's Contraband.

I didn't know they had a new one?? I really liked their last one and Velvet Revolvers so I guess I'll take your word for it.

When did it come out??

Audioslave has one of the best rock songs ever. Don't flame me, I don't follow them, but it's the one with the video where they're playing on top of a building and there's fireworks going off in the background. What's the name of that song? Can you help me?
And yes, Contraband is a GREAT cd.

John, the song you are thinking of is Cochise,

This album sounds more mellow, a hint of the solo work Chris Cornel did.

if you go to their website, you can listen to the whole album. www.audioslave.com

Audioslave is made up of one of my favorite singers, and then the band is one of my top favorite bands period.

I hope this new album is half as good as the first one and I'll be happy

btw, anyone heard any news or stuff from Zach DeLaRocha????

Yep, and don't waste your time. He takes his political views way too seriously. And you get bombarded by them.

I agree, lucky for me I have a 30 mile commute each way. I'll pick it up tomorrow. I wasn't too hit on Cornell's solo CD. I did like about 4 songs from it but that was it. His best song (mellow) is on the Great Expectations soundtrack. Check it out if you can.

Bobby Yang plays Eruption on his Violin

I thought this was pretty amazing for a violin.

I apologize in advance if you've seen it before.

best song ever:

Dark as roses, fine as sand
Feel your healing and your sting again
Hear your laughing and my soul is saved
On forgotten graves you cry

Crawl like ivy up my spine
Through my nerves and into my eyes
Cuts like anguish or recollection
Of better days gone by

But it's alright when you're caught in pain
And you feel the rain come down.
It's alright when you find your way
Then you see it disappear
It's alright though your garden's gray
I know all your graces
Someday will flower in a sweet sunshower

Eyes like oceans, so far away
A feather trail to a better way
Worried mornings turn into days
Then into worried nights
But it's alright all you'll be you are today

Yup, it's Cochise. If I were to write my own rock song, and direct my own video, that would be exactly what I'd do. My jaw drops everytime I see this video, and my TV cranks. I don't know why, it just hits me in the right spot.
