I have owned four PDA phones. 2 Audiovox's, and 2 Ipaqs. I was going to go old school, and get a PDA, and then a free phone. They are VERY pricey, at about $500 a unit. The phone part of them normally blows, and the ones that have the full touch screen without qwerty keyboards are rare. Things I hate about my IPaq? Phone sucks, and no way to lock my screen. So, I will turn it off, then put in my purse. But, if I get a call, or a text or an alarm, the screen illuminates and then the touch screen is active. My keys have called my husband countless times! It drains the battery QUICKLY when the screen on like that.
I use most if not all PDA functions, and am totally dependant on it. I was looking at the IPhone, but have been burned so much on the phone functionality I am just way cautious now. I dont need MP3s, heck I cant even work my daughters IPod.
I own 2 HP laptops, 1 G4 Powerbook. The kid has a Dell Inspirion, and hubby has a HP. I love my Mac, and my HPs equally. If I could get a PDA phone that had good to very good phone functionality but also cross over ability, I would be sold.
Oh, side note: Cingular was originally AT&T. In fact, my account with them is STILL AT&T! I wouldnt pay for a new plan to switch to Cingular... Now that they are going back to AT&T I am happy. I think Verizon is the anti-christ, and Sprint is the Swiss Cheese Network! I was going to change providers, but now that ATT&T is picking up the IPhone I am stumped again.
