About a year or so ago I really got into salt water aquariams. I have a 20g reef tank (trying to make it reef if I can ever get rid of my algae). Behind cars its prolly my next favorite hobby. Just wondering if anyone else enjoyed fish ?

I have a 50 gallon salt tank. Started it a while ago, but haven't worked on it lately. I never seem to have the time to get working on it.

I had a 55 gallon salt water tank. Took a year to get everything cycled out right. The tank was perfect.
I bought a Blue Tang ($60.00) it was deseased, ruined the whole tank.
Had to dismantle it. Got out of fish for awhile.

Now have a 90 gallon fresh water tank. I have Angels and Neons in it. (The two hardest fish to keep alive.)
I have two Angels that are long finned. They are about 8 six inches tall from top to bottom.

I have other fishes in there also, but the Angels and Neons are my favorites.

Two of my angels are a matting couple. i have not tried to save the eggs tho.

I have a 60gal (80 gal if you count hte sump) salt tank. I love it. I've had problems getting it started off and a tang that had ick just caused a bad case of the deaths in my tank

I am in the process of cleansing the tank and I am about to get a uv sterilizer in addition to more rock. Now my lights have died, but the ballast was old so it was somewhat expected. Gonna have to buy a new Halide/florescent setup.

Its weird, but I get more enjoyment for the most part out of inverts in a tank than I do the fish.

Btw, 390 4spd on this board has a gorgeous 210gallon! He is the one I got my tank from. Also a friend of his owns a saltwater fish store here in town. Pretty much the largets in the southeast now and is amazing. If in the hoover area, look up Aquarium Designs and stop by. Store is gorgeous as well as all the tanks.

that sounds awesome..I'd like to see pics. My tanks is currently battling with an outbreak of hair algae (a spawn of satan!) but I'm going to try to get it worked out this weekend and hopefully in a week or two I will have clear algae free water and the I'll take some pics. I want to do a reef tank (I already have mushrooms that are huge). Everyone post pics!

Here is a pic of my tank. It was dirty as crap at the time as I didnt have any cleanup crew. The yellow tang is behind the big rock so you cant see him. You can see my Maroon Clown, Picasso Trigger and Niger Trigger. The triggers are mean lil things and you need to have a big clown if in the same tank. And you cant have corals. I was goign to keep this a fish only tank untill the ick breakout took em all out

Here is a photo of my 75 gallon reef aquarium. It has been up and running for about 5 years now. I also have a 180 gallon reef setup in my basement. No good photos now but I'll post some later. I've been battling hair algae in the 180 and it's taking alot of time and effort to clear it up. It's a long process. Have to find out the cause and treat it rather than treating the symptoms.

I've had aquariums all my life and once I went to salt water, I don't think I'll ever go back to fresh. I enjoy watching the inverts also as much if not more than the fish.

I can vouch for the coolness of that store!

Once the owners caught my Dog(greyhound) for me, when I went to pick him up- Holy CRAP their whole kitchen to LR wall was an aquarium..

RichA that is an awesome tank...somday hopefully mine will look like that! Scothew what kind of LR is that? I've never seen it shaped like that before..very cool. I agree that once you go salt you never go back. I think the corals and stuff are so cool to look at and the fish are much more vibrant. Good tanks everyone!!

Steven, the rock on the left (the huge one) is marshall island. very porus and HUGE. it weights 33lbs alone.

The other stuff on the right is acctually 4 pieces. 2 pieces are Fiji, they are the 2 main ones, then on top is a really interesting shaped Tonga branch rock. Then there is another Tonga branch i have just sorta sticking out off of the fiji sorta towards the front. You cant really tell it in the pic, but defintely can from the side. all 4 pieces are about 12lbs total.

I go for very interesting shaped rocks instead of your normal base rock. I know exactly what shape rocks I want to add next but I just havent had the money to buy another 40lbs.

Also to note is that I have 60lbs of caribsea live sand in my tank.
