punk fan here
bought my first and only bad religion CD in 7th grade (umm...about 8 years ago) for 5 bucks lol. It was "All Ages" I want to conquer the world, and 21st century were my favorites from that album.
i really really liked that CD, there was something unique and different about them that got me hooked. but i was more into the heavy metal scene at the time lol. listening to there 1-3 minute songs, 20 songs per album, and there constant pace throught out was a big difference from the 8 minute metallica songs, 8 songs per album, that took a while to build up sometimes.
i most likely wont go to their show, but i hope you Have a Kick **** Time!!! :headbang:

if you really wanna get pumped up before a game download In Flames "Clayman," for starters. if you like them as a channel to get riled up with, try some of their other stuff from clayman and before, because after the clayman album they sold out lol.
they will lay your bands to shame lol
i remember in high school the football team would listen to classic metallica on the bus. i was surprised, because most of the people at school wouldnt touch metal with a stick, but i guess they liked it to get rowdy before a game lol

I'm more into early Punk, like The Ramones, The Misfits and other bands that begin with 'The" (The The's )
But Bad Religion is definitely on favorites list...but I'm a little far from SoCal to make it to the concert...
Here's my favorite radio station, they play alot of punk and alternative with some good ole stuff (you can listen on your computer, too) WONC 89.1

Old Punk was awesome. Guys who couldn't play a lick of music became legends (i.e. Sid Vicious)
A lot of the english punk bands from back in the day were real gangs. I read somewhere that when the sex pistols were going to meet the Ramones, they were afraid because they thought they were a gang also :P
Just some cool links on the history of Punk (know your roots!)

This "new" punk stuff stinks.. but then again.. people hated the punk stuff I like that came out in 90-96.

We like to call it 'Pop-Punk'. :notnice: Great 'current' punk is AFI, Nofx, Guttermouth, Pennywise... Past, I have to go with Op Ivy, Misfits, Ramones,... just to name a few.
My Cousin told me about the show, he's going, but I have other plans.

Yea.. I'm a huge Descendents, ALL, Screeching Weasel, The Queers, NOFX fan. Lil stuck in 95 with my musical tastes haha but I also like a lil bit of everything, some industrial crap.. to hardcore too.
AFI are "ok" but I'm not liking their new style at all.

AHHH I loved PUNK!! Still do. I use to be a huge CLASH and RAMONES fan. And My poor MISFITS shirt has seen its better days.... but I still wear it faithfully. Infact, I slept in that last night
Man, the good ole days.
Anyhow, my daughter is into the things I liked at her age. She has AC/DC, OZZY, THE CLASH..... She just bought a Billy Idol CD, and she loves bands like "THE KILLERS" and "GREEN DAY"

I think Lynell nailed it on the head. The Clash is awesome. My father in law saw them live in a tiny nightclub years ago in NYC. Then there was Johnny Rotten with the Sex Pistols. They were alright. The rode the coat tails of the Clash and the Ramones, other than that they'd have never made it.
I'm not too into the new punk music, just the old stuff.
