I could have sworn I started a thread with the same title a few months back when I bought my UTG MP5 lol

Gotta love those full metal Classic Armys

I used to play, had an MP5, SPAS 12 (yes, the uber Marui version, with three inner barrels for spread AND accuracy all in one), both have been sold. That leaves me today with a bunch of cheap springers and a KWC 6" .357 magnum and a Marushin Mauser M712 that I converted into Han Solo's DL44. I sold the AEG and SPAS to fund cars, and my new hobby: real firearms lol. Starting a bit of a collection

It's a good fun sport, nice to see others into it and mustangs. I would still play, but my dollars are spoken for elsewhere *cough*mustangsandguns*cough*

I may get back into it later on, but with college loomin in just weeks, and a lack of airsofts being allowed, its doubtful to be soon

I never went to any arenas or anything. It was usually me and my cousins playing, though before I sold them I had very much wanted to go to an arena with some of my friends, who are now gone to other colleges.

Why would you sell a CA? I wanted to eventually buy a CA Vietnam era M16, for the full stock and short mag goodness. Plus, the full metal bit is always nice

I know my friend goes to a bunch all over, and I know there is one relatively close to me, so... probably? lol. I'm not tooo sure on California as a whole

As for how it is, well I've heard from many folk it has a bit of barrel wobble, nothing some electical tape on the inside can't fix. I usually buy from Shortyusa.com or redwolfairsoft.com . The latter is in Hong Kong and has more selectiojn, but shipping kills. plent of reviews tho. ShortyUSA tho, that has TONS of reviews. check it out

its not an overly organized site, just go under electric guns and sift through pages until you find what you're lookign for. When shorty's fails me i usually just google the gun and add the word review

ie: when i was looking at shotguns i googled "Tokyo Marui SPAS 12 review"
and got a bunch of hits

Try arniesairsoft.co.uk too. great forum and there is also agood review database. most review there are pretty in depth with diassembly and pictures and the like.

I've never played but I own two airsoft guns: a UTG AK-47 and a Tokyo Marui SIG SEAL 551.

I can't speak for all TMs but the SIG, while not metal, seems to be stoutly made. I haven't had any problems with it either so I'm very pleased with the purchase. If I ever get around to buying another gun, I'm going to give Classic Army a try.

The people who say that TM bodies aren't that strong are generally people who are used to the full metal CA guns lol. For plastic guns, they are pretty dern sturdy.

If I get back into the sport I'm hoping to get one of the clone M14s made by AGM. Sure its not the real deal, but uses the same mags and the internals are said to be just as good as the Marui. Might buy a better battery, but tahts about it.

I had a chance to put my SIG to good use this weekend. Some good friends of ours have a huge problem with spiders in the trees around their house. There are literally thousands of them in webs that stretch between branches and in some cases between trees. The spiders can be as big as your hand (see pic). We decided to have a spider hunt using my SIG. It was quite fun and it helped rid them of a nuisance in their yard. Of course there was a downside for my friends: both of their sons now want airsoft AEGs!

(I didn't take this pic but it's the same kind of spiders)

Also, here's a pic of the SIG:
