Again Filed under Y'all ain't gonna believe....
Last night we went out to The Guitar Center(where I fell stone in love with a Fender Jazz bass) and then off to Hooters for some 3 mile wings and some scenery for my boys.......
We hopped onto I-65 to get home, Traffic was a little heavy for a Friday night going AWAY from town, so we were just cruising along. Up ahead there was a red Focus, not driving too well, but Brian always tells me when someone acts a fool, keep behind them where whatever they do, it happens in front of you not TO you.
It keeps weaving- I am in the left lane about ten car lengths behind it watching and wondering WTF. In the right lane there is a tractor trailer and ford SUV.
We get down past the Alabaster Exit- he completely goes nuts. They recently installed guard rails because Alabaster is Accident Alley. He swerves off the road HITS the guardrail, Throws up sparks, Swerves into the right lane BETWEEN the SUV and tractor trailer WITHOUT HITTING EITHER- AND KEEPS GOING. Meanwhile I threw on the brakes and promptly nearly had a panic attack.
The thing is HE KEPT GOING!! His car had to been REALLY screwed up. He exited on the next exit. When I got home I had little pebbles resting on my wipers he threw up when he went off the road.
Guess it wasn't my night to get into an interstate wreck! Whew!

Musta been drunk. Only thing I can figure- Drunk and not a teenager- a teenager woulda flipped over the guardrail and gave me nightmares.

I tried- but what was I gonna say? A Red Focus with a 63 tag and I can't even see him anymore? I got the 9 out before I lost sight of him( I slowed wayyyyyy down after I braked because I was having a sorta panic attack).
I drove by there yesterday and that guardrail is FRICKED up! And all weekend that stretch of interstate has been HEAVILY patrolled. Who knows? They may have gotten busted further down- I exited at the nearest opportunity.
