I went up to my in-law's farm today and was greeted by an incredibly wet border collie!

He looked like he has been roaming for weeks!! I rang round all the other farms to see if they had lost one, but they hadn't. I informed the police that I had found him, but they had no record of a missing dog with his description.

So, I took him to the vets to get him checked out (which they did free because I had rescued him, nice vets!), apart from being really underweight and having a slight dental problems, he was fine.
His coat was really matted and in bad cndition, so we went next door, and he had a bath and trim! I also got him a nice red collar and ID tag!

He met my two other dogs this afternoon and there were no problems at all, he is asleep of the sofa next to me now, he is so affectionate (and a little thankful for being rescued).

If no one claims him in 30 days, he becomes mine, I will then get him micro-chipped, his teeth done and the dreaded snip!

I will post a picture of Bill tomorrow!! Thanks for listening!

yeah, it is a little chip that gets injected into their neck scruff. when a sensor is passed over it it produces a number on the screen. that then corresponds to my details on a database. Great for if you lose your dog!

Nice job man! From a dog owner, makes me happy to see others that share the compassion towards animals.

Those dogs are spectacular. Congrats! He is a beaut!

We have some friends who have one, named Rufus- they taught him to SING! He puts his head up and freaking warbles. I love him.

Those are cool dogs, and it was big of you to adopt him. It looks like he drooled on your couch!

I used to be engaged...she had a border collie....
Sincerely the smartest dog I have EVER seen, you could teach how to breakdance in like 2 minutes...well not really but you get the idea.
They are very needy and affectionate, but the greatest dogs. get a frisbee...they LOVE to catch frisbees, he looks just like Keaton my old one (that the evil one took).

Now I have Kamakazi (Kam) a black lab I picked up a few months back, if you ever come to the states they can play together.
