4 weeks to go
Man, I am getting nervous.............my head is in bits and I cannot concentrate on anything. Alex has finished work now and seems to want to completely clean the house from top to bottom. I am trying to stop her doing too much.......
Going overboard like that is normal for some women to do. I wouldn't worry. She'll be fine.
I was nervous, too. It'll all be good, when you see that baby being born. It's the single most amazing thing I have ever seen.

Good luck James!

Even I knew and I have to ask where things are all the time!
James- it will be here before you know it.
Just don't tell her to get her own self to the hospital like my hubby did.

Alex can look after herself, I'll be in the pub, not as noisy in there, and when I get the call, I can wet the baby's head without even having to get out of my seat
(I am so dead if she reads this
)
Thanks for the messages all, I think I am panicking more than Alex!

It's all worth it in the end James. I thought I was gonna go nuts the first time around. You'll get the greatest feeling of your life when you see your baby born. Good luck and enjoy the free time before he gets here!
P.S. Don't name him Arin!
His head is big enough already.

Good Luck James- it will be all worth it in the end!!!!!!!!
I was wondering- I had two of em... Neither time did my hubby(or in case #1 mom) wear scrubs and sterile and all that stuff- is that a movie myth? In my sons case I was lucky to find a midwife(and my hubby delivered him) because he was a hurricane baby.
So is that BS or fact? My daughter was born in San Diego and My son on Langley AFB in Virginia.
When I had 4 weeks to go I was busy fleeing Biloxi so my kid wouldn't be born in Mississippi.

I have been told that the only time scrubs are needed is when it is a c-section, in which case I wouldn't be allowed in anyway! As long as you are clean, I do not think there is a problem. Like you say, seems like a movie myth.
I was in blue jeans and a T-shirt for our daughter (at 2am, I ain't gonna shower up first). Its a really cool experience. Something no one can describe successfully.
Alex is in her "nesting" phase, where women have a compelling urge to clean and get the house perfect for the newborn. I haven't met a woman yet that hasn't had that happen to during pregnancy.
