300 Movie Review!
ur very welcome! I enjoyed this movie very much. It was everything I expected and didnt disappoint, which is always a good start...lol. I want to see it again and I just finished watching it. The cinematography, artwork, CGI, costumes, makeup, sound, music, action, choreography, lighting, special effects, script, everything was just fricken awesome. Not the best movie Ive ever seen but darn good for sure. Lots of fun to watch and masterfully done. It was like watching Miller's novel come to life. I cant wait for Sin City 2.

Dang!! I just realized I haven't been too a movie since a few days after christmas!! lol!!!!
yes very close, Miller is very hands on with the making of movies about his stuff, and he had a lot of input and control over this and it shows. If you like his stuff then you'll like this movie.
Yes! It should be good. Although I dont think they are doing another one of his novels. I believe this will just be a conituation of the first movie, from what Ive heard.

Its off of more of the novels that deal with Sin City, of which, some are prequels.
So yes....Marv (Mickey Rourke) will be in it
cool I had heard it was a continuation following Jessica Albas character, I am glad its based on another novel, seems like the best way to go. Of course some more Alba dancing would be greatly welcomed back!
its a prequel/sequel in that we'll see some marv before his death story,
and some characters after their story's from Sin City 1

As for 300...tried to see it in IMAX last night...but it was sold out,
had to deal with digital
What a cool flick.
Apparently im the only one who was disappointed with it.
Dont get me wrong, it was still one of the best movies ive seen in the last year, and every aspect of the cinematics was incredible, but the script was pretty weak and anything that wasnt the battle seemed to be just thrown in there for filler. Yes I understand its a graphic novel, so the cheesy comicbook lingo is to be expected, but I thought Sin City pulled it off a lot better.
Just my $.02.

I saw it again tonight and the movie still is....
FRICKEN AWESOME!!!
I actually appreciated it a lot more the second time, I was able to sit back and enjoy the artwork which is this movie. The backgrounds appear as paintings in every scene and when they have the cast stand still and pan back they become part of that painting. The scene of the fallen on the battle film from above towards the end of the movie is very reminiscent to "The Creation," cant get more into that without giving away more of the ending. And the narrative is actually done in poetic verse in the tradition of the great epics; the Aenied, Iliad and Odyssey. Simply a fantastic movie and a masterpiece of artwork all in its own. Ill most likely see it one more time before it leaves theaters and hopefully try to make it up to the Spectrum to see it in the IMAX.
