Thumbs up

Big debate on this case where 18yr old David Ludwid of Lititz, PA, shot and killed 14yr old. Kara Borden's parents in a feud over a secret relationship between the two teens. An amber was put out late in the week for the kidnapping of Kara Borden and the two teens were later found in a persuit by Indiana State Police, where the 14 yr old was un-harmed and the 18yr old was put under arrest for 2 counts of homicide, kidnapping and wreckless endangerment to another person.

What does everyone think about this case??

Killing is never right. Should lock him up for life. But, this is a dangerous subject to open up. Very politically charged. So, everyone, be careful.

He's legally an adult, do the maximum of what the law allows in PA.

No brainer what would happen if he were tried in Texas.

He should be decently treated, decently fed and clothed, and then decently juiced.

I don't agree with the death penelty.

I don't think anyone should have the right to kill another person including the government.

Well, thats kinda where I was going with it, which is why I said this is a very politically charged discussion.

That kid is undoubtedly a wackjob (18 years + 14 years???) But I dont support the death penalty. Put him in prison where the only lovin he'll be getting will not be procreational and he'll be some bad man's :cheer: . Life without parole.

Death penalty. Isn't everyone exposed to this kind of situation, in a story, or TV show, or something? He knew what he was doing, whether it was pre-meditated or not.

Life in prison without parole wouldn't be a bad alternative, though.

Life in Prison w/o Parole is a far worse punishment for someone that young anyway. He'll have lots of time to think about Big Butch, his new husband. 40 years from now, they can celebrate their Anniversary.

I know for a fact no one has been given that right.

Those who have no regard or respect for other persons' right to live and decide to ends someone's life along with their joys, hopes, and dreams, for whatever reason, can't expect civility with regard to their lives. It's a bit of a contradiction for someone to kill and enjoy it with all the pain it causes and then say "sorry, I made a mistake, be compassionate and spare my life".

Every assurance should be offered to perpetrator of the benefits of his pending reincarnation and rehabilitation. In that order.

I live less than an hours drive from where this happened. I can tell you for as long as I've lived in PA (16 years) there have been no executions that I can remember hearing of.

They have a video of him planning it. They had 54 guns in the house because the familiy are avid hunters so the means were there. Even if PA has the death penalty he will not get it even if the prosecutors go for it because of his age. They will plead it as a "love" crime because of the couple being as young as they were in a physical relationship. Her parents were not happy about it.

Look at the sniper kid in the DC, VA and MD areas. Killed what 16 or 17 people? He didn't get death in VA which is big on the death penalty because of his age and he will not in MD either because they are more conservative thanks to the previous governor.

That town doesn't get much happening if anything at all. Very conservative in the amish coutry area. Now 2 things happened within a week of tis nature

Sorry so longwinded.

Theres another thing to trow into the mix. Can we say statutory rape? If this kid ever gets released as a free man there is something seriously wrong with the system, but i have a feeling he will.
