ENGINE

Some facts on the 14 cylinder version:
Total engine weight: 2300 tons (The crankshaft alone weighs 300 tons.)
Length: 89 feet
Height: 44 feet
Maximum power: 108,920 hp at 102 rpm
Maximum torque: 5,608,312 lb/ft at 102rpm

This thing is simple Awesome :shock:

Hey, it's a Japanese engine not powered by rice!

What do they use for the spark? A flamethrower?

Holy heck!!!! They must have to use another, smaller engine to start that thing! I know in Oil fired power stations, they sometimes have a much smaller coal fired station to "set the wheels in motion"
Could you imagine the vibration if they got a mis-fire?? it'd be like an earthquake!

I am beginning to understand why supertankers need 7 miles to stop!
