This was my dads old truck which he rolled down the highway 9 times at highway speeds. This accident happened about 8 years ago, but when going through photos for my grandfathers funeral i found them and decided to post them.

Right front tire went flat at over 70mph (he was passing everyone on the way home from work, the truck had a 383 stroker in it) and he overcorrected it with the steering wheel, rolled it 9 times ont he highway before coming to a stop in a tree. He almost died.

My friend's parents were in similar accident last year. They went to see their son in college at another city (they were driving 2001 VW Golf) and one of tires went flat at high speed (around 80 mph). My friend's mom stayed paralyzed from head down. Few months later, same friend and his bother were in similar accident in 2002 Jeep Grand Cheeroke, but this time, no one was unjured.

Wow, thats incredible. Horrible to see such bad things happen to good people. It seems like it never ends sometimes. like, just last night my Grandfather died. i hate it when such things happen. i figured those pictures would be neat for everyone to see that the rollbar saved his life, if not for that he would be dead. He didnt sufffer any permanent injuries luckily though.

Thats stinks man.
Last year on the first day of school my cousin and I flipped his 97 Explorer when a tire blew out while we were going around a sharp turn.He came out without a scratch and my foot was crushed. We would more than likley be dead right now if it wasnt for our seatbelts.

I know I've been PM'ing you about your grandfather but I still just wanted to say how very sorry I am to hear about this. Please try to remember the good times that you had with him. I found myself thinking about your loss a lot last night and it really is very close to home for me. I too lost my grandfather when I was just about your age. It is very painful...

I'm not really all that religous but I believe that death is not the end of life, but just a transition from one stage to another and you will see your grandfather again someday up there.

To everyone on the site: I think it would be nice if we all took a moment to say a little prayer for Doug and his family, no matter what religon you may be.

Talk to you soon Doug.

Your friend,
Andy

man....

really sorry to hear that happend bro. tell your dad i hope he gets better soon, and im really sorry about you losing your grandfather it hurts for a while, but try not to dwell on the fact that he's gone; instead try and remember all the good times you all had. it helps
just be glad that you knew him. some people never had the pleasure of meeting their grandparents...
