Why Chinese Cars Should Not Come To America
Call me crazy, but I'm not convinced they've yet mastered the hang of this, especially when one sees cars like the Geely Mybo.

They're not quite ready for prime time yet, but look at the progress the Koreans have made in the last 20 years. They're not my cup of tea, but Hyundai is actually making some decent cars now, with a V-8 RWD platform in the works. I think the Chinese will catch up eventually.

Ironic, isn't it? We turn over our entire household manufacturing industry to them, and in return, they not only own our debt, but they use the excess cash to fortify their military to be used against us in a future conflict.
How dumb are we...?
Not that I welcome them, but years from now, Chinese cars may displace Japanese cars as the imports everybody loves.
Those early Japanese imports during the late 50's - early '60s were tiny, ugly, and primitive when compared to the US cars of the time. Japanese goods had the reputation for being "cheap junk" back then as well. It took them 'till the '70s to catch up or at least overcome the "cheap junk" stigma. Maybe the Chinese will do the same ?

. . . I don't see any 'edits' for this thread and/or your first post. Any possibility that autoblog.com rearranged their file photos on their site?
