Because racewagon? haha

I'll never understand why some people do what they do to their cars, but there's a lot of that crap where I live.

Well the wing adds 200hp, two tone and decals add at least another 100-150hp. Maybe going after the land speed world record??

Regardless, at least it's a promising sign the youth is taking more of an interest in their cars - at least, I sure hope this is a kid's car. I was in Autozone and I saw a guy in his 30's buying neon and a fart pipe...

That's a good point. A lot of my friends (I'm 20) have done some pretty distasteful mods at one point or another to their rides, but at least they're interested. I read some thing the other day about how the average age people get their drivers license at keeps going up and stuff. People don't car about driving anymore so they don't care about their cars. And that's why transportation appliances like the Camry sell so well. It's sad.

On a lighter note; get a load of this beauty! I guess he gets points because the wheels aren't too horrible, and the side scoop window cover things appear to be pretty close to the right color, but really, the big spoiler? Why? It would'a been a pretty clean little car without it.

Speaking of "why" ...

Why do people buy cars that they can't afford? Then this happens ...

"Honey I shrunk the wheels!" hahaha. Also, I agree with you about the eclipse being a good looking car. I just wish they would've offered AWD with that body style. That body+EVO goodness would've been awesome.

For your lol'ing pleasure: (I've got a ton of these pics)

Well I suppose there is the off chance they installed the tires on the rims themselves but why do tire shops pull stupid manuevers likes this? I see the euro tags and I've really never seen much in the way of tort cases from europe, but when I see crap like this in the US, I really have to wonder.

I turn away people all the time for stuff like this, I usually end up saying; " You could be a great guy and give us a pass on being a quadraplegic and the huge medical bills, the loss of dignity and freedom you have now, but we wont be so lucky with all the rest of the people involved in the accident, thier lawyers will rip us apart".

Unfortunately, you can see the words bounce right off thier skull.

No, but this sounds like some of the stuff running south of the border here in the americas, my folks were in Panama south america and the horror stories my dad told me about the local transportation was staggering. Vehicles with no headlights or running lights at night, tractor trailers with just enough tires to keep the trailers from dragging on the ground, et al.

Although I did see that video of a eastern european guy driving a cab over that had obviously rolled over and crushed the cab to single occupancy (will see if I can look that up real quick)

Where I'm from (Serbia), things aren't that bad, but you can always bend the law there, especially on the smaller things. Like getting away with speeding and its much cheaper to bribe a cop with $40 than to pay a fine, which are usually pretty expensive (for an example, not wearing a seat belt is a $100 fine, passing on the full line is a $450, running a red light is a $450 fine & 3 months suspended license ...).

Sounds like Panama SA - Never been there but the stories my folks and brother used to tell had my head shaking.

The other day I saw someone had put a crappy-looking aftermarket wing over the raising/lowering spoiler on their Boxster. Bolted it right over, couldn't tell for sure but I think the stock unit was still under there. Some people are just....idiots.
