Same reason someone would do that to a '32 Ford. Looks pretty cool actually, never have thought if doing something like that to a Bug.

The guy in the off road one looks like one of my buddys, who would do something exactly like that... come to think of it i should probably give him a call and see if he built a bug lately.

Amerikan enchineerink in da haus! Seen the Volks rodding scene mentioned in one of the V8-oriented hot rod mags. I like them more than the F/F crap, that's for sure.

I'd love to rat rod an old beetle. #3 needs to ditch the side cheese grater other than that though nice. **** bugs can be made very quick too cheap and easily.
