"Killacycle, the world's quickest electric motorcycle, is owned by William P. Dube, a research engineer at the National Oceanographic & Atmospheric Administration in Boulder, Colo. The official record holder was clocked at 9.450 seconds for a 1/4 mile reaching 152.07 mph."

Actually I think electric vehicles are pretty cool --instant torque BUT, battery technology has not progressed far enough yet to make them really practical, since they need to haul around a lot of weight in the form of batteries.

But once scientists figure out how to make a super light weight, super powerful battery that has a long lifespan, electric vehicles could be the next big thing.

 

What he said. They WILL get to that point eventually, although who knows when. But when they do, those cars will kick the crap out of gas-powered cars due the aformentioned instant torque.
