I see a lot of people saying they hate this car, and i'm surprised. I thought people who like the stang would love this car, but i do realize that people who like the stang would've liked to have seen that name reserved for a car in the same class as the stang, ie only two doors.

My vote is for "nice car but bad name". They coulda called it something else and eventually built a shorter two-door version and called that the charger. But maybe they don't really plan on building a two door like that, which would be sad of course. But maybe they just don't see money in that market, didn't someone from DC recently say that two doors and four seats doesn't work anymore, and that's why they're killing the coupe stratus and sebring? So maybe they've abandoned the coupe idea, and instead are gonna try to make the most out of this namesake.

I think a name like charger will probably make this car seem even cooler to a lot of people and will probably help sales.

 

meh, I don't really care about it. It is a different class of car now, I think the design department need a good talking to for using the charger name like that though!

I don't mind it being a four door, but I do mind it being an ugly four door. The car appears to have more inspiration from the Polaris than from the Charger.

You need a voting option that says "Looks awful, but will sell anyway". The fact that it has both four-doors and a Hemi for a lower price than the 300C will allow it to skate where the Magnum RT and the GTO could not IMHO.

Nice car, not the right name. Even my dad said the car looked good.
But then I told him it was a remake of the Charger and suddenly it wasnt so hot.

 

Its OK. Not what I expected. It will sell ok because other than Stratus, Dodge don't have family sedan (maybe Magnum too).

It won't last long. 2 generation maybe, but not long. That's what Chrysler does. They introduce new car, which stinks, last 2 generations, and they later introduce something all new which again last 2 generations, and so on. Personal experience with Intrepid. Lasted only 2 generations (1993-2004), had many mechanical problems (especially transmissions which can't last longer than 120,000 miles), and now they introduced Magnum. Magnum will last for 2 generations or so, it will have same problems, and then they will introduce something all new.

I like old Chargers (1968 is my favorite), but not new one.

They could name that creepy thing the Dart or scamp....But not charger.

 

For the general public I see the 300C taking the sales

guess i'm all alone now. i think the only thing it needs is a two door. thats it. maybe the magnum front fascia, for the SRT8, but i love it. the perfect (well almost, it cant beat the falcon) sport sedan.

Dodge is also replacing Neon after 2006. Yep, laster 11 years, 2 generations, and now its something all new with new name. It will last for 10 years or so, 2 generations, it will be same piece of junk like Neon is and then it will get replaced again.

 

Can you imagine Bo & Luke Duke jumping that thing with the Rebel Flag on it? For shame, not at all like the Old Charger which was an awesome car, this looks like a family car to me. Just my 2 cents. They think if they put a Hemi in a car its going to sell. Whats next a Roadrunner in the body of a Volkswagon Beetle? LOL

I can't believe everyone is always complaining about Detroit (or the automotive world in general) putting out high performance cars. Let's see, a rear wheel drive, Hemi powered sedan.....yeah, it stinks......they should've went back to making '80s K-cars

 

They badged it wrong...just like Pontiac and the GTO. I think the nostalgia people will show the same likings as they did the GTO.
