The baseline 290 ci produced 225 hp at 4700 rpm, the optional 343 ci produced 280 hp and the top-of-the-line 390 was rated at 315 hp with a tire smoking 425 ft.lbs of torque.



AMX's and Javelins were bloody awesome cars. very very underrated!

Yep. Had a friend who had one when I had my SS350 Camaro. It was hot. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

Mine could run in the low 12's on 9" slick way back in 1975.
